Jag Mandir the Lake Palace or the “Lake Garden Palace” was built between 1743 to1746 under the direction of the Maharana Jagat Singh II. He was the successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Royals always use Jag Mandir as a winter palace or in summer for parties.
It was initially called Jagniwas or Jan Niwas after its founder.
Now Lake Palace known as Jag Niwas is a luxury hotel, Palace has 83 rooms and suites.
They used white marble for walls. The Lake Palace is located on the island of Jag Niwas in Lake Pichola, Udaipur, India, and its natural foundation it is near about 4 acres.
The hotel operates a speedboat which transports guests to the hotel from a jetty at the City Palace.
