Chauka Bara(Indian Game). I used to play at home every day with our friends and family.
For the beads we used is the Tamarind seeds or seashells. IMLI-TAMARIND SEED Tamarind is the fruit of Tamarindus indica popularly used in Indian cuisine. Roasted tamarind seeds are a popular snack amongst the rural population. Mostly available during the dry season, tamarind seeds contain phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin c, potassium, calcium and amino acids.
We are talking about Tamarind seeds here. Sorry I got distracted.
So always keep dry tamarind seeds and try to break in the middle. It will make 2 pieces. We can use those pieces for Chauka Bara.

We used to play a game called Mancala with stones years ago. I was thinking of you today – I heard them mention there was a small earthquake in the San Francisco area … a 3.6 magnitude which is the same as what we had here in Michigan in April. I don’t think it got much attention due to all the wildfires – you are not near the wildfires are you? Stay safe at any rate!
